When it comes to our time on this planet, there are only a few things we can count on: life, death, and the slow and inescapable claws of Black Friday.
The fictitious corporate holiday has made its way from the American suburbs to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is everyone's favorite game about a quaint island lifestyle and a small town. What do you mean? Well, thanks to the efforts of a few resourceful players, we now know that Nook's Cranny will be hosting its own Black Friday sale in-game this year. The event is dubbed "Nook Friday," and it will take place from November 26 to November 30, with all items sold by the Nook brothers being discounted by 30%.
There are better deals out there, but this is a nice little perk to have. Animal Crossing items for sale's also convenient because it coincides with the release of a slew of new items as part of the 2.0 update, which is a nice touch.
At first glance, the event appears to be at odds with the overall theme of the game; after all, we are on an island getaway. Home improvement projects, fishing, and cooking are some of our favorite pastimes, and we try to incorporate them into our schedules as much as possible. Tom Nook, on the other hand, isn't bothered by it. Tom Nook simply wants you to spend your money on all of the glitzy new items. For the first time, the necessity of Lottie's resort escape makes a great deal of sense.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise includes a thoughtful feature for shared islands, which you can find in the game.
Your new career as a designer in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC differs significantly from the game in one important way that makes it much more accommodating to players who share a Nintendo Switch.
A new archipelago of islands is included in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC; your job as a new member of the Paradise Planning team is to transform them into bespoke vacation homes for animal clients with the help of new designing tools and decor. It was discovered by Reddit user Inkv4 that you will each have your own unique archipelago to decorate even if you share an island (and a Switch) with a fellow player.
In contrast to the base experience in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is not dependent on who plays first or most to determine the appearance of each island: at the very least, everyone in the Happy Home Paradise archipelago has their own personal space to decorate as they see fit. This may be a slight disappointment if you were hoping to divide up the vacation homes with a friend and compare notes, but it's a huge benefit for players who have a Switch in their possession at the same time.
